We continue our series going through the entire catalog of A24’s films. On this episode we are looking at 2021’s Red Rocket, directed by Sean Baker. The film is about a washed up former porn star Mikey, played by Simon Rex, who returns to his hometown in Texas as he tries to get his life back on track. He moves back in with his estranged wife and mother-in-law and gets back to his scheming ways. He eventually meets 17 year old Strawberry, played by Suzanna Son, as Mikey sees visions of grandeur for the underaged girl in the porn industry.
